| 'Planet of the Apes' was written by Pierre Boulle in 1963, his story differs from what we see in the films. In the films, the Apes have the upper hand and so do they in the books. In the book, the Apes are highly intelligent, advanced and can travel into space. In the films, the Apes are barely out of the stone age. Presumeably, if the apes had been advanced, the film going audience wouldn't have like it. Apes are advanced, they capture humans and experiment on them as we do to them today. If you think how can aliens on another planet can speak English, all is explained later on. There's no Universal Langugae Translators.... |
