| The premise is that an advanced alien takes pleasure in hunting down its prey. It's not quite clear if when it gets its target prey, it just skins or eats the human flesh. Its targets are those who are able to fight back. It has the distinct advantage of an invisibility shield which can only be spotted by careful looking. In the first film, it lets an unarmed female survive. In the second film, it kills a cop but leaves a pregnant cop alone. It also leaves a naked female live after skinning the womans drug boss lover. They are no good for game, no point in hunting them if they aren't able to defend themselves. What's the point in hunting something if its too easy to kill. The first film is set in the jungle of central or southern America. The sequel is set in Los Angeles and its prey are the immigrant Colombian and Jamaican drug groups. There had been talk of a Alien vs. Predator film but that had been dropped because of the costs involved in making the film. Those who had wished to see such a film will have to put up with the comics and the computer games which is a shame. Jesse Ventura later became a state govenor for Minnesota. Arnold is eyeing up the Guvenorship of California. |
